Students are selected based on their academic merit, extracurricular activities, and volunteer work with Guilford High Schools Unity Club, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Fishing with Vets, New Haven Reeds, and Special Olympics.

A special thanks to the Take A Wet Fishing crew for showing us how hard it is to fish, but more importantly how to give back to the veterans who almost lost their lives for our freedom. “I always want to help people and if I can. The best part of Customer Day is that it makes me happy.”

Attorney Alex Mario, daughter of the firm’s founder and president, Carter Mario, was inspired from a young age to continue her family’s legacy for the injured. Alex has stood by his father and the law firm Carter Mario since he was fifteen years old, appearing on company ads, billboards, buses, and social media platforms and calling out injured people in Connecticut to “Get Carter!” encouraged that.
